La Plaza de Cultura y Artes, in conjunction with Yambu Productions, has designated June 4, 2017 for the Cuban-American Music Festival. The festival will be a regional destination event that features four musical acts, dancing, local Cuban Artists, Cuban Food and drinks. The festival will take place at La Plaza de Cultura y Artes in downtown LA. This will mark the first time a Cuban festival will be held at a museum.
In keeping with La Plaza’s tradition of promoting Latin culture, the Cuban American Music Festival will highlight traditional Cuban culture with music, art, dance and culinary delicacies. The Cuban American Music Festival will offer the public, Cuban music to delight the senses with the poetic sounds of Mayito direct from Cuba, Charanga Cubana, Changui Majadero, Rumbankete and the Arsenio Rodriguez Project. The festival will not only bring the Cuban-American community together but also introduce Angelenos to the vast and rich heritage of the Cuban culture.
